The Kiddos

Betsy is such a little peanut. She only weighs 16lbs! We feed her but she is like her mom...always on the go. She is crawling, pulling herself up, and walking from thing to thing. I think she will be walking before Christmas. I am not ready for my baby girl to grow up that fast!
James helped Grandma Mary can tomatos.
I think he did it so he could delay his nap and get his hands messy.

We went back to Grandma Nancy's over labor day weekend. The kids loved playing outside. James got to play with Uncle Nick...which he loves to do. Betsy got to go for a ride on the swing while James was loving the slide.

We had Betsy's baby dedication in August.
I even put her in a dress...it was hard to do. :)

James is such a good helper with my landscaping.
Betsy does a good job supervising too.

James gets his silly side from his father.

Betsy loves trying new food but has a problem keeping it all in her mouth.

James and Betsy's cousins came to visit this summer. We got some pictures with them and Grandma Mary. This was the best one. I think the kids really enjoyed playing together.

What a handsome young man.

James liked the fake cow. He is a natural. Papa would be proud. :)
Uncle Dale just needs to wait about 10 more years and James will be ready to help on the farm.

We went to the zoo this summer. Here is James hanging out with one of his pals Callum. James also enjoyed looking at the turtles

Watch How They Grow!

The kids just seem to grow by the minute. Betsy is getting quite the personality. She is constantly smiling. She also rolled over last week. My little girl is growing up too fast!

James is a big help. Here he is helping me give Betsy a bath.

Here is Betsy in her Easter dress courtesy of Ms. Eileen. I know...a dress and pink...is this really my daughter? :)

We made a trip back to Grandma Nancy's house. James got to go swinging with Grandma Nancy, Betsy got to lounge around with Scott, and James enjoyed some ice cream over at Uncle Dale's house.

I took James for a walk and he got some ice cream. You can see that Betsy wishes she had some too.

James wanted Betsy to lay down next to him initially. However, you can see from the picture he was not happy that Betsy is invading his space.

I attempted to give Betsy some rice cereal...she really didn't like it despite what you may think by the pictures. I will try again next week.

New Addition/Christmas

Yes...finally it is here. I have found the time to add pictures to the blog so I hope everyone enjoys them. :) Our little baby girl is here...Betsy Anne McGillis. She is a pretty easy going baby. She sleeps fairly well and allows mom to get a decent amount of sleep.

James is doing a good job with his sister. He is really gentle with her and protective. Every morning Betsy and I go into his room to get him up and he always says hi to her and gently touches her. The first time I went into his room and didn't have her with me (because she was sleeping) he wanted me to go wake her up.

Christmas was a lot of fun this year since James was more aware of what was going on.

I gave both kids a bath at the same time...I will not do that again. Betsy pooped in her tub and James wanted me to play with him the whole time. Apparently James is cleaning every part of his body...especially his nose.

What a cute little girl!

We went to my mom's for a week. James had a great time, especially when Grandpa got down on the floor with him.

This is the face James makes when he doesn't get his way.
